Before you visit
Look for a learn-to-curl
Most beginners start with an open house, learn-to-curl session, or instructional league. The club usually provides stones, brooms, sliders, grippers, and someone to show you what to do.
You do not need a team. You do not need special shoes. You do not need to know the rules before you arrive.
Bring these
- Clean rubber-soled shoes
- Warm, flexible layers
- Gloves and a clean hat if you want them
- A willingness to slide a rock and laugh a little
