The Story Behind HouseCall
HouseCall began with an idea from longtime curling friend and fellow curler Lisa Rudolph. Mary Deuhs took that spark and developed it into an educational platform dedicated to making curling easier to understand, more accessible, and more fun.
Drawing on decades of curling experience, Mary creates HouseCall’s educational content, books, videos, and resources for curlers, clubs, and fans.

Why HouseCall exists
Curling is welcoming. Its explanations should be too.
Television drops viewers into a game filled with unfamiliar lines, calls, tactics, and traditions. A club can feel just as mysterious from the outside.
HouseCall turns that mystery into simple guides, rule videos, etiquette tips, funny educational reels, viewing help, and stories from real curling-club life.
The voice is knowledgeable without lecturing, playful without treating the sport like a joke, and always written for the person asking, “Wait—what just happened?”
